ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar extended congratulations to the nation for the ‘successful’ elections conducted across the country, hailing them as a historical achievement.
Kakar’s statement, issued shortly after the closure of voting for the general elections, expressed gratitude to various entities, including the Election Commission of Pakistan, Interim Provincial Governments, Armed Forces, Civil Armed Forces, Police, law enforcement agencies, and others for their collaborative efforts in ensuring the smooth progress of the elections.

In his message on X, Kakar stated, “This momentous occasion is not just a testament to the resilience and strength of our democratic processes but also the indomitable spirit of the Pakistani people.” He highlighted the ‘high’ voter turnout as an indication of the people’s commitment to shaping their future.
Acknowledging incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the caretaker Prime Minister emphasized that the elections were not adversely affected. Kakar commended the efforts of the Armed Forces, Civil Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), the Civilian Administration, and the Election Commission of Pakistan for conducting free and fair elections throughout the country.
“In the face of adversity, the people of Pakistan have shown remarkable courage and determination,” he remarked. Kakar praised the citizens for their resilience in the aftermath of recent terrorism incidents, noting that their continued participation in the electoral process served as a powerful statement against forces aiming to destabilize the nation. The Prime Minister’s message resonated with a sense of unity and determination among the Pakistani people in upholding democratic values despite challenges.
