Javed Chaudhry, a journalist, has asserted that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is poised to receive relief due to three significant decisions. Chaudhry revealed these decisions in an interview.
The first decision involves the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) distancing itself from accusations of election rigging by the establishment. Despite this announcement, the PTI concurrently declared a peaceful protest against alleged electoral irregularities, asserting they were unfairly deprived of seats and urging the Election Commission of Pakistan to release results based on Form 45s.
Chaudhry disclosed that moving forward, the PTI would refrain from explicitly naming the establishment and instead focus on discussing “two elements.” Furthermore, he claimed that the party would avoid mentioning the Election Commission of Pakistan, opting to name the PPP, PML-N, and MQM-P.
The second decision entails the PTI dissociating itself from individuals allegedly campaigning against the armed forces of Pakistan, including five former journalists outside the country spreading the PTI narrative.
Concerning the third decision, Chaudhry stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur would collaborate with the Centre, participating in the Special Investment Facilitation Council, Economic Coordination Committee meetings, and attending the National Security Council meeting. Chaudhry asserted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would meet Gandapur if he visited the province.
Chaudhry further alleged that the PTI would curb aggressive behavior from party members like Sher Afzal Marwat, and failing that, the party would take disciplinary action. Notably, the PTI would not support Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s campaign against the establishment, leading Chaudhry to conclude that Imran Khan would experience relief following these decisions.
