ISLAMABAD: One of the most beloved and iconic melodies in the country’s history is the national song “Dil Dil Pakistan,” a masterpiece by the Vital Signs.
This timeless anthem, often considered the second national anthem of Pakistan, holds a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis.
Recently, the classic song from the late 1990s was performed by Japanese musician Kenta Shoji at a special event hosted at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, WADA Mitsuhiro.
Kenta, a singer from Kyoto, Japan, astonished the audience with his rendition of the hit song. The young artist honored the song with his unique style, captivating several guests and music enthusiasts at the event.
Kenta first mesmerized the audience with his piano performance, followed by enchanting songs in Japanese, English, and Urdu.
In addition to “Dil Dil Pakistan,” he also performed “Aitebar” by the Vital Signs, earning enthusiastic applause from all attendees.
The Japanese Embassy in Islamabad shared a video of Kenta’s performance on their official Facebook page.
Kenta began playing the piano at the age of 20. He has produced a wide range of vocal and piano songs, covering his favorite genres such as Soul, R&B, Rock, Pop, and Jazz.
In 2022, he released his album “Skip.” The following year, he embarked on a journey around the world, performing his music on the streets and at various live music events.
