Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport has introduced a new facility offering free SIM cards and internet access to all international passengers arriving in the emirate. The initiative aims to give travelers immediate connectivity, making it easier to navigate essential services right after landing.
Each arriving passenger will receive a complimentary SIM card loaded with 10GB of mobile data, valid for 24 hours. Airport officials said the service will allow visitors to access maps, taxi apps, payment platforms, messaging services, and Abu Dhabi travel guides without any delays. The move is expected to enhance convenience, especially for first-time visitors and transit passengers who require instant digital access.
Zayed International Airport has quickly emerged as one of the region’s fastest-growing aviation hubs. It connects travelers to more than 100 destinations worldwide and hosts airlines from over 30 countries, including Pakistan. The airport’s modern infrastructure and expanded flight options continue to attract a growing number of passengers.
The new terminal has already handled 23.9 million travelers up to September this year, highlighting its rising prominence in global aviation. With the introduction of free connectivity services, airport officials believe the travel experience will become even more seamless and passenger-friendly.
