MNA Sher Afzal Marwat suggested on Wednesday that Ali Amin Gandapur may be removed from his position as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking on a private news channel’s Live program, Marwat remarked, “Ali Amin Gandapur had time to rise after my removal from the party.” He further stated that Gandapur is not in favor with Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan, adding, “I wasn’t in their good books either.”
Marwat went on to criticize PTI’s decision regarding the National Security Committee meeting, saying, “It would have been better for PTI to attend the National Security Committee meeting.” He explained that the decision not to attend was made by non-elected people within PTI, not by the party’s elected officials. “There was no need to consult the political committee,” he stated, adding that PTI should have opted for reconciliation.
He pointed out that the change in decision to boycott the meeting came after a social media trend advocating for it.
On the topic of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Marwat suggested that Bilawal had offered PTI a chance for face-saving. “The PTI should accept Bilawal Bhutto’s offer and sit together,” Marwat said.
Addressing the PTI’s protest plans, Marwat emphasized that Gandapur has not played a significant political role in organizing the protest. “There’s no one left in PTI who can gather people for a protest,” he remarked. He also confirmed that the PTI leadership would likely postpone the planned protest.
Marwat concluded by stating, “Ali Amin Gandapur is not acceptable, just like Usman Buzdar and Mahmood Khan were not.”
