LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has delivered its verdict in the Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar case, sentencing three individuals to seven years in prison each while acquitting eight others.
ATC Judge Arshad Javed announced the ruling, which had been reserved earlier. The court found Amna Urooj, Mamnoon Haider, and Zeeshan guilty of demanding ransom and handed each a seven-year sentence.
However, the charge of kidnapping could not be substantiated against them.
Those acquitted due to lack of evidence include Hafiz Iqbal, Falak Sher, Qaiser Abbas, Tanveer Ahmed, Rasheed Ahmed, Yasir Ali, and Hassan Shah.
