Australia’s upcoming ODI tour of Pakistan is expected to undergo changes as both cricket boards continue discussions over revised dates for the three-match series. The tour, originally planned for early next year, is now unlikely to proceed according to the initial schedule due to adjustments being considered by both sides.
Changes Expected in ODI Schedule
According to sources, the ODI series — previously proposed for March 13 to 19, 2026 — is now unlikely to take place in March. Discussions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Australia (CA) are ongoing, with both boards working to determine new dates that suit their international commitments.
The revised plan suggests that the ODIs will now be held after the conclusion of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). PSL 2026 is expected to wrap up before the start of April, opening a possible window for the Australian team to tour Pakistan afterward.
Officials involved in the discussions have confirmed that no final decision has been made yet. However, both boards are said to be moving toward a mutually agreeable schedule that ensures smooth planning for players, broadcasters, and logistical teams.
T20I Series Remains Unaffected
While the ODI schedule is facing uncertainty, the three-match T20I series—set as preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup—remains unchanged. These matches are scheduled to begin on January 30, giving both teams an opportunity to finalize their squads and fine-tune combinations before the global tournament.
The PCB is expected to release an updated tour itinerary once formal agreements are reached. Fans of both nations are hopeful the tour will proceed without major disruptions, as Australia’s visits to Pakistan have gained strong attention in recent years due to competitive cricket and improved bilateral relations.
