ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) convoys from across the country resumed their march toward Islamabad on Monday, Bushra Bibi, renewed her call for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Addressing supporters near the Hazara Interchange, she delivered a resolute message. Now the PTI convoy has reached Hasan Abdal, said Sanam Javaid.
Bushra said, “My brothers, we will not end this march until Imran is with us. I will stay there till my last breath, and all of you must support me,” she declared. “This is not just about my husband but about the future of this country and its leadership.”
Earlier in the day, the party announced that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was leading his convoy. PTI leader Sanam Javaid Khan later updated supporters via a post on X at 1:33 PM, stating that her convoy had reached Hassan Abdal. The convoy included key leaders such as Bushra Bibi, Gandapur, Babar Saleem Swati, Faisal Javed, and Omar Ayub Khan.
Meanwhile, PTI leaders said that the convoys were en route to Islamabad but were progressing slowly due to their size and road blockages.
Chief Minister KPK Gandapur was determined to lead the convoy to D-Chowk “peacefully but at any cost.”
He added that processions from Shangla, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, and Swabi had converged at the Burhan Interchange on the main motorway.
The Peshawar-Islamabad motorway convoy was being led by Gandapur, Bushra Bibi, provincial ministers, and other leaders. Meanwhile, the Hazara motorway processions were spearheaded by Omar Ayub Khan, Shaukat Yousafzai, Ali Asghar Khan, and Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.
