Both the leaders have agreed to keep the communication channels open and work together for bringing a joint candidate for the post of Punjab chief minister.

Before these resignations, leaders from the opposition parties and MQM-P drafted an agreement at the Parliament Lodges and shared it with media.
With 177 members, the Opposition now has more numbers in the NA and that too without the support of the disgruntled PTI MNAs. The government is left with the support of only 164 members of Parliament.
“Opposition leaders are asking why can’t we share the letter with them,” he said, adding that “national secrets are very sensitive in nature and there are clear laws about with whom these could be shared”.
