A late-night clash between terrorists and a local peace committee in the Begu Khel area of Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, left one person dead and three others injured, according to police sources.
The confrontation erupted when heavily armed terrorists opened fire, using heavy weapons against the peace committee members, who responded with strong resistance. During the exchange, a rocket fired by the assailants struck two wheat stacks, sparking a fire in the area.
The firefight reportedly lasted for about an hour before the attackers fled the scene under pressure.
Local authorities swiftly transported the injured to a nearby hospital, and security forces increased their presence in the region to prevent further incidents.
Following the attack, police launched a search operation to locate and apprehend the perpetrators involved.
