ISLAMABAD: Come back to Pakistan and stay amongst the people during this tough time. Khawaja Asif, a senior PML-N leader and former Defence Minister has sent this message to Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar.
Both are responsible for the ongoing crisis of inflated bills and hikes in petrol and gas prices because they signed a cruel agreement with the IMF.
Notably, soon after the change of government (arrival of caretakers), both rushed to London, leaving people in a serious distress with tormenting bills.

Khawaja Asif has urged party president Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar to return to the country immediately amid growing public anger over. Asif emphasized the need for constant engagement with the people to address their concerns. He said that distancing oneself from the public is not a viable solution.
Khawaja Asif stated this in a programme of a private TV channel. He acknowledged that while former premier Nawaz Sharif had delayed his return until October due to the absence of election dates. He, nonetheless, believed that both Shehbaz Sharif and Dar should return to confront the criticism the party has been facing for their decisions during its tenure in power.
Asif also highlighted that PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz remained in constant contact with the people. He said all former Members of the National Assembly are actively engaging with their constituencies.
Regarding the party’s role in the PDM coalition government, Asif accepted partial responsibility for the decisions made during that time. The PML-N was part of the PDM coalition, the entire responsibility for those decisions did not solely rest with the party. However, he emphasized that the PML-N took responsibility as a member of the cabinet.
Khawaja Asif criticized the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for resisting early market closures to save electricity.
