ISLAMABAD: The coalition government and PTI are holding each other responsible over the postponement of the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman’ to Pakistan.
Saudi Crown Prince was expected to arrive in Pakistan around Nov 21, but last week Saudis deferred the visit without citing any reasons. Media reports, however, indicated that Crown Prince is attending G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, for two days, starting from Nov 15.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif claimed that MBS’ visit to Pakistan had been postponed due to the PTI’s long march which was heading towards Islamabad.
Through Twitter, Defence Minister said: “Imran Khan’s first sit-in seven years ago Chinese President Xi Jinping cancelled his visit to Pakistan and now the Saudi Crown Prince has postponed due to Nov 21 sit-in.”
“This person is working on an agenda against the country”.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry strongly reacted to statement of Khawaja Asif and said the latter was just doing blame game.
Fawad said, “Khawaja Asif is the defence minister of Pakistan but morally he is so low as to feel no problem in telling a lie. Muhammad Bin Salman has postponed his visit to the whole of Asia, not just Pakistan.”
“Firstly, Khawaja Asif is the defence minister of Pakistan but morally he is so low as to feel no problem in telling a lie. Saudi Crown Prince has postponed his visits to the whole of Asia, not just Pakistan,” he said in a tweet.
