Islamabad police have successfully neutralized a notorious criminal following a tense encounter with the ‘Klashinkov gang’ on the outskirts of the city.
The confrontation unfolded during a targeted search operation conducted by law enforcement personnel in Pindori Syedan, falling under the jurisdiction of Kirpa Police Station, on Monday. Members of the notorious ‘Klashinkov gang’ initiated gunfire upon sighting the police, prompting a swift and decisive response from the authorities.
In the ensuing exchange of heavy gunfire, multiple gang members were either incapacitated or sustained injuries. The intense skirmish occurred close to sehri time, adding to the urgency and complexity of the situation.
Among the casualties was Ahmad Shah, a notorious fugitive with a long list of warrants against him, ranging from murder to dacoity. Shah’s elimination marks a significant triumph for law enforcement, as he had long evaded capture and posed a serious threat to public safety.
Despite the successful elimination of Shah, other members of the ‘Klashinkov gang’ managed to evade immediate apprehension, retreating to the hills near Kahuta. Presently, the police have launched an extensive search operation in Dangor village, located in the vicinity of Kahuta, in pursuit of the remaining fugitives.
The ‘Klashinkov gang’ comprises a network of hardened criminals and fugitives who have been operating clandestinely within the rugged terrain between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Their ability to evade law enforcement for an extended period has made them a significant challenge for authorities tasked with maintaining law and order in the region.
This shootout underscores the escalating concerns regarding street crime in the capital, prompting the police to issue advisories urging citizens to communicate their travel plans beforehand to facilitate enhanced security measures.
The successful operation against the ‘Klashinkov gang’ serves as a testament to the relentless efforts of Islamabad police in combating organized crime and ensuring the safety and security of the residents.
