Pakistan’s security forces successfully conducted five intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating 13 terrorists in a series of coordinated efforts, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Wednesday.
These operations, carried out overnight between February 12 and 13, were launched based on credible intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants involved in terrorist activities.
One of the most significant operations took place in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, where security forces engaged in a fierce gunfight with militants.
During this exchange, five terrorists were eliminated, including a high-profile militant, Shah Gul alias Rohani, who was known for orchestrating multiple attacks on security forces and civilians.
In North Waziristan, security personnel launched two separate operations in the Dosili and Tappi areas, where another five militants were neutralized following intense firefights. The operations were strategically executed to dismantle militant hideouts and prevent future terrorist activities in the region.
Meanwhile, another successful raid was carried out in Lakki Marwat, where two terrorists were killed during an armed encounter. In a separate operation in the Bagh area of Khyber district, security forces managed to eliminate one more militant.
These operations not only targeted militants but also led to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons and ammunition, which the terrorists were planning to use for future attacks.
According to the ISPR, the neutralized militants were responsible for launching numerous attacks on security forces as well as carrying out acts of violence against innocent civilians.
Their elimination marks a major success in Pakistan’s ongoing war against terrorism. In response to the possibility of more militant presence in the region, security forces have launched sanitization operations to clear out any remaining threats.
The Pakistan Army remains resolute in its commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country and ensuring lasting peace. The ISPR reiterated that such intelligence-based operations will continue until the region is fully secure and free from militant activities.
