ISLAMABAD: Veteran journalist Javed Chaudhry hinted at a potential headline-making interview that might soon captivate the nation’s attention, this time featuring property mogul Malik Riaz rather than a politician.
Chaudhry hinted at this in a video blog, suggesting that the interview either has been recorded or is on the verge of being recorded.
Malik Riaz stands as the figure behind Bahria Town, one of the nation’s largest real estate projects sprawling across various cities from Rawalpindi to Karachi.
According to Chaudhry, the interview is anticipated to revolve around three crucial points. Firstly, it may delve into Riaz’s involvement in the Rs460 billion fine imposed by the Supreme Court.
Allegedly, the conversation might touch upon the role of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar in this matter and any benefits he might have received.
The second point of discussion could center around the 2014 sit-in staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Riaz might unveil contentious claims regarding the planning, funding, and management of the protest.
Chaudhry suggested Riaz might disclose details about sending a message to Nawaz Sharif, urging him to either step down or take leave abroad during the sit-in.
Lastly, the interview may shed light on the covert operations within the PTI government. Riaz might potentially reveal insights into orchestrating meetings between Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif while ensuring they didn’t collaborate to overthrow the PTI administration.
Though Chaudhry lacked specific details regarding the interview’s timing or broadcast location, he hinted at its imminent arrival in the near future.
