On Monday, Islamabad took action by sending the third batch of relief supplies to support the besieged residents of Gaza. This aid, totaling over 20 tonnes, was airlifted by a special Pakistan Air Force flight dedicated to the people facing hardship in Gaza.
Comprising essential provisions such as surgical and medical supplies, dry food items, and thoughtful gift bags for children, the relief consignment aims to alleviate the challenging situation in Gaza.
The aid will reach Arish in Egypt via the designated flight, where Pakistan’s ambassador will take charge of the goods.
From there, the supplies will be forwarded to Gaza for distribution among those in need.
Before the flight’s departure, a media briefing was conducted at Noor Khan Airbase, hosting the Caretaker Foreign Minister, the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from the Armed Forces.
During this gathering, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani strongly denounced Israel’s use of force and stressed the importance of humanitarian assistance and a ceasefire in Gaza.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Gaza and announced plans for further humanitarian aid to aid those affected by the ongoing crisis.
