Shift to Electric Mobility with 0% Profit Financing and Flexible Payment Options
Meezan Bank, in collaboration with Atlas Honda, has launched a Shariah-compliant financing scheme for the newly released Honda ICON e: electric scooter under its Meezan Apni Bike program. This initiative is aimed at promoting electric mobility in Pakistan by offering an affordable and interest-free installment plan.
The financing model is based on the Islamic concept of Musawamah (mutual negotiation), offering customers 0% profit over invoice value with a flexible installment plan of up to 24 months. To get started, buyers must make a minimum down payment of 20%, and monthly installments begin at just Rs. 13,997. An upfront, non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,800 plus Federal Excise Duty (FED) also applies.
This financing option comes as part of the rising shift toward eco-friendly transportation, especially as fuel prices remain high. It presents a budget-friendly solution for individuals looking to adopt electric vehicles without compromising on Islamic financing principles.
