ISLAMABAD: PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has booked his flight to return to Pakistan on October 21.
With less than three weeks remaining until Nawaz Sharif’s scheduled return to Pakistan, the former prime minister has finalized his travel arrangements.
Nawaz Sharif has made reservations for a seat on Etihad Airways flight EY-243. It is is scheduled to touch down in Abu Dhabi on October 21.

Following a brief stopover in Abu Dhabi, the flight will proceed to Pakistan and land at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore the same day. Expected arrival time of the flight is around 6:25 pm.
Nawaz Sharif’s staff and advisors, including Dr. Adnan Khan and Irfan Siddiqui will accompany him. Several party leaders are also anticipated to join the flight from Abu Dhabi.
This significant event marks Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan after an absence of nearly four years. During this time, elder Sharif primarily resided in London. He had departed Pakistan after receiving permission from the Lahore High Court to travel abroad on medical grounds.
PML-N launches public rallies ahead of Nawaz Sharif’s arrival
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) is gearing up for a series of rallies to build momentum for the party chief’s return to the country.
Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz will begin mobilizing party workers, starting with a rally in NA-123, Shahdara, Lahore, on Sunday (Oct 1). PML-N leaders addressed the rally.
Nawaz Sharif’s legal team will apply for protective bail two days before his return to Pakistan. Party sources are optimistic that Nawaz Sharif will get three to seven days of bail upon his arrival.
Nawaz Sharif plans to address a public rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on Oct 21. The next day, he will reach Islamabad to surrender in court. The PML-N hopes that since Maryam Nawaz has received relief in the same case for which Nawaz Sharif was convicted, the former prime minister will also receive a favorable verdict.
Nawaz Sharif has been in exile since 2019 when courts allowed him to travel abroad for medical reasons. He has spent most of his time in London during this period.
Earlier, former Director General (DG) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Bashir Memon, joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The PML-N’s Senior Vice President, Maryam Nawaz, appointed Memon as the convener of a 12-member committee in PML-N Sindh. This committee’s primary responsibility is to welcome Nawaz Sharif on his upcoming return to Pakistan next month.
The committee, which includes Muhammad Zubair, Nehal Hashmi, and Kheal Das Kohistani, is tasked with ensuring the presence of party workers to greet the PML-N supremo.
