The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially extended the Private Hajj Scheme 2026 booking deadline to October 22, allowing more pilgrims to register for the sacred journey. The earlier deadline was set for October 17, but the extension provides additional time for applicants to secure their slots.
Extension Aims to Facilitate Remaining Applicants
According to ministry officials, the decision to extend the date was taken to accommodate a growing number of applicants and to ensure a smooth registration process. All Munazzims (Hajj tour operators) have been instructed to finalise the bookings within this extended timeline in compliance with the Hajj Policy and Plan 2026.
The Ministry highlighted that the extension was made to ensure maximum participation and to give intending pilgrims more flexibility in completing their travel formalities.
Over 55,000 Applications Received So Far
Under the Private Hajj Scheme 2026, a total of 60,000 seats have been allocated for private bookings. Out of these, 55,500 applications have already been received. This leaves around 4,500 seats still available, which officials believe will be filled before the new deadline.
The Ministry encouraged interested individuals to apply promptly to avoid last-minute rush and ensure inclusion in the private Hajj quota.
Strict Compliance with Hajj Policy 2026
Authorities have reminded all approved private Hajj operators to ensure full compliance with the Hajj Policy 2026. This includes following transparent booking procedures, offering approved accommodation options in Makkah and Madinah, and maintaining service quality standards as outlined by the government.
In addition, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency, affordability, and convenience for pilgrims, whether they opt for the government or private Hajj scheme.
Ministry Focuses on Streamlined and Affordable Services
The Ministry of Religious Affairs continues to coordinate with Saudi authorities and licensed operators to streamline visa processing, transportation, and accommodation arrangements. Special attention is being given to providing affordable packages and ensuring that pilgrims receive value for their money.
The government aims to enhance the pilgrim experience through better coordination, digital facilitation, and improved monitoring mechanisms during the 2026 Hajj season.
Last Opportunity for Private Hajj Applicants
With just a few thousand seats left, this extension serves as a final opportunity for those wishing to perform Hajj through private arrangements. The Ministry has urged all intending pilgrims to submit their applications before October 22 to secure their participation.
Officials have also assured that any updates or additional guidelines related to the Hajj Policy 2026 will be communicated through official ministry channels.
