Pakistan’s T20I team, captained by Agha Salman, arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand on Thursday ahead of their five-match series against Michael Bracewell’s Blackcaps, set to begin on March 16.
The tour also includes three ODIs, concluding on April 5.
Squad and Training Plans
Following their arrival, the Pakistan squad will rest before resuming training at 1 PM local time on Friday. The team includes newcomers Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz, who received their first national call-ups.
New Zealand’s Squad Announcement
New Zealand has named a 15-member squad, with Michael Bracewell leading the side. The team includes seven players from their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. Senior spinner Ish Sodhi and pacer Ben Sears return after recovering from injuries.
Kyle Jamieson and Will O’Rourke will be available for the first three T20Is, while leading wicket-taker Matt Henry will join for the final two matches.
The previous T20I series between the two sides in April 2024 ended in a 2-2 draw after the first match in Rawalpindi was washed out.
