Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has strongly condemned what it described as the Indian military’s “delusional and provocative propaganda” launched ahead of upcoming state elections in Bihar and West Bengal.
In a statement, the ISPR expressed grave concern over the Indian leadership’s repeated attempts to revive baseless claims and false narratives for political gains. The military’s media wing noted that such rhetoric tends to resurface before major elections in India, reflecting a pattern of politically motivated disinformation.
India’s Pre-Election Narratives Branded as Politically Driven
The ISPR remarked that five months after the events of Maarka-e-Haq, India’s military establishment is again “parroting fabricated stories” to influence domestic audiences. It stated that these actions reveal the political pressure faced by the Indian military leadership, which has resorted to spreading misinformation to divert public attention.
“It is disappointing to see the military leadership of a nuclear-armed state issuing such irresponsible statements,” the ISPR noted. The statement warned that continued provocations could ignite jingoism and pose serious risks to peace and stability across South Asia.
‘Bollywood-Style Scripts’ and Distortion of History
The ISPR criticized India’s repeated attempts to “mould history to its liking” through exaggerated and baseless claims. It said that India’s political and military leaders appear determined to invent “Bollywood-style scripts” to mislead both domestic and international audiences.
According to the statement, India has failed to come to terms with its “decisive defeat in Maarka-e-Haq,” where its falsehoods were fully exposed. The ISPR added that such behavior has reduced the credibility of Indian institutions and turned their propaganda efforts into a source of ridicule worldwide.
ISPR: ‘India Recognized as Source of Regional Instability’
The statement further asserted that the world now recognizes India as the “true face of cross-border terrorism” and the “epicenter of regional instability.” The ISPR accused Indian leadership of pursuing adventurism and hegemonic policies that harm both its citizens and neighboring countries.
It emphasized that the continued spread of disinformation and aggressive rhetoric undermines regional peace efforts and exposes India’s unwillingness to engage constructively in dialogue.
Pakistan Reaffirms Its Commitment to Defend Sovereignty
Reiterating Pakistan’s stance, the ISPR reaffirmed that the nation’s armed forces and citizens remain united and fully capable of defending every inch of national territory. The statement warned India against any military misadventure, stressing that Pakistan’s response to aggression would be “swift, resolute, and intense.”
“The people of Pakistan and their armed forces are prepared to safeguard national sovereignty with full determination,” it added. The ISPR concluded by stating that any hostile act would invite a reaction “that will be remembered by posterity.”
Call for Peaceful Coexistence and Responsible Leadership
Analysts note that ISPR’s statement reflects Pakistan’s growing concern over India’s militarized political discourse and election-time posturing. With tensions escalating once again, the emphasis remains on restraint, responsibility, and respect for international norms.
The ISPR underscored that peace in South Asia depends on mutual respect and an end to fabricated propaganda. Constructive engagement and truth-based dialogue, it said, are the only viable paths toward regional stability.
