The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that all matches of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, set to take place in Lahore, will be open to fans free of charge.
The exciting event will begin on April 9 at Gaddafi Stadium, where fans will be able to enjoy eight action-packed matches as part of the qualifying round for the prestigious tournament.
The opening match will feature Pakistan taking on Ireland at 9:30 a.m. on April 9. Following this, the second fixture on April 11 will see Ireland face off against the West Indies, with the match scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. as well.
The PCB’s move to offer free entry to the stadium reflects its commitment to promoting women’s cricket and increasing fan engagement for the historic event.
In addition to the opening match, fans can look forward to several exciting clashes throughout the week. On April 13, Bangladesh will take on Ireland at 2:00 p.m., followed by Pakistan’s day-night match against the West Indies on April 14 at 2:00 p.m.
The fifth match will see Bangladesh facing Scotland on April 15 at 2:00 p.m., and Pakistan will then take on Thailand on April 17, also at 2:00 p.m.
The qualifying round will continue with Ireland playing Scotland on April 18 at 2:00 p.m., with the final match of the round scheduled for April 19 between Thailand and the West Indies, set to start at 2:00 p.m.
All these matches at Gaddafi Stadium will be free to attend, with the PCB actively encouraging fans to show their support for the teams, especially the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team.
To further galvanize fan support, the PCB has also released a compilation video featuring Pakistan’s Women’s players urging the public to come out and cheer for the team. This initiative is expected to not only boost attendance but also elevate the spirit of women’s cricket in Pakistan.
