LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the launch of its Talent Hunt Program, aiming to enhance cricket at the grassroots level and uncover new talent across the country.
During a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium, PCB’s Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed Syed, Advisor to the Chairman Aamir Mir, and other officials revealed that the program will focus on scouting talent at the school and college levels.
The program is designed to give talented boys and girls the chance to progress to the national team. Aamir Mir stated that trials will be conducted in various cities, and players who demonstrate merit will receive training to refine their skills. Coaches will provide guidance to help these young players make it to the national team.
Mir also announced that the registration process for the Talent Hunt Program will begin next month, with talent being sought from schools and players up to the Under-16 level. He emphasized that the initiative aims to promote cricket in Pakistan and that selections will be strictly based on merit.
