Champions Trophy 2025
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially unveiled the national team’s jersey for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 during the grand opening ceremony of the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
The event, attended by key cricketing figures and fans, showcased Pakistan’s fresh look for the prestigious tournament set to take place in February and March 2025.
The kit was revealed by Pakistan’s 15-member squad, who will represent the nation in the highly anticipated eight-team competition. Adding to the excitement, PCB released a promotional video featuring white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, alongside star players Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and women’s team cricketers Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana.
Pakistan, the defending champions and host nation, will begin their Champions Trophy campaign at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The tournament opener on February 19 will see Pakistan facing New Zealand.
The team will then travel to Dubai for one of the most awaited matches of the tournament—Pakistan vs. India—scheduled for February 23. Following this high-stakes encounter, Pakistan will return home to play their final group-stage match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 27.
The Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams divided into two groups. Group A consists of Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.
The tournament, consisting of 15 matches, will take place across four venues: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan, with select matches being played in Dubai. Pakistan will host 10 of the matches, whereas Dubai will stage four, including all of India’s group-stage matches and the first semi-final.
The grand final is set to be played in Lahore on March 9, but in the event that India qualifies, the final will be relocated to Dubai. To ensure fair play and avoid disruptions due to weather conditions, a reserve day has also been allocated for the final.
