Commends PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Applauds All Teams for Stellar Tournament
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Lahore Qalandars for their triumphant victory in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, hailing their third title win as a remarkable achievement in the tournament’s history.
In a statement issued from Istanbul, the Prime Minister also commended the Quetta Gladiators for their spirited performance in the high-intensity final, and praised all participating teams for displaying exceptional sportsmanship and competitive cricket throughout the season.
The Qalandars clinched the PSL 10 title after a thrilling six-wicket win over Quetta, successfully chasing a daunting 202-run target in the final over. This marks their third PSL championship in four years, following back-to-back wins in 2022 and 2023 — firmly establishing them as one of the most successful franchises in the league.
“The entire PSL 10 has been a celebration of Pakistan’s sporting spirit,” said Prime Minister Sharif, applauding the high quality of cricket witnessed throughout the tournament. He especially lauded the contributions of international players, whose participation he said added significant value and excitement to the league.
The premier also congratulated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, along with board members and support staff, for the smooth and successful organization of the tournament’s milestone 10th edition.
“This tournament has not only delivered top-tier entertainment to cricket fans but has also helped project a positive and vibrant image of Pakistan to the world,” he noted.
“PSL 10 has once again proven that Pakistan possesses the talent, infrastructure, and passion to host world-class cricket,” the Prime Minister concluded.
