ISLAMABAD: PML-N Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed dropped hints about a potential “deal” involving the imprisoned PTI chairman.
Mushahid, who also chairs the Senate Standing Committee on Defence, indicated that they (establishment) are facing difficulties in dealing with prisoner number 804 (Imran Khan).
He, nonetheless, hinted at the likelihood of a significant agreement with the PTI leader.

The PML-N leader shared that the Western leaders inquired about the situation between the PTI chairman and the Establishment.
He said that he termed it as a “quarrel among lovers,” suggesting the possibility of reconciliation.
Mushahid emphasized that Pakistan cannot afford another confrontation. Therefore, he emphasized the need for everyone to work together for the betterment of the country.
In response to another question, he noted that the military establishment is opposed to the idea of external accountability for its members, as they have their own internal accountability system.
The PML-N Senator also mentioned that he did not participate in the London meeting wherein the party supported the extension of Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa as the army chief.
He expressed regret that the PDM government breathed new life into the PTI and its leader when they were seemingly down and out.
IHC orders transfer of Imran Khan to Adiala Jail
Meanwhile, the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court today ordered the shifting of PTI chairman from Attock Prison to Adiala Jail.
The IHC chief justice issued the order while hearing a petition from Imran Khan for his transfer to Adiala Jail from Attock Prison. The IHC Chief Justice said that all the under trial prisoners of Islamabad are in Adiala Jail. Hence, Khan should also be moved there.
Attock Jail officials refused to present PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Islamabad High Court today. Attock Jail officials informed the court that they cannot produce Khan in the court because of the security concerns.
Earlier, Civil Judge Qudratullah issued orders mandating the former prime minister’s presence in court on Monday in relation to a case concerning his nikkah with Bushra Begum.
Nonetheless, the superintendent of Attock Jail expressed apprehensions that potential security risks could arise during Khan’s journey to Islamabad.
