ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) today announced nationwide protests after Friday prayers to condemn attempt to assassinate Imran Khan during long-march on Thursday afternoon.
PTI leader Asad Umar said that the countrywide protests will continue till an action is not taken against the Trio named by Imran Khan for attempt to murder him.

Quoting Imran Khan, PTI secretary general Asad Umar said that Khan has named three persons who are responsible for the attack _ PM Shehbaz Sharif, an army officer (major-general), and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
PTI leader said that Imran Khan has demanded removal of the Trio from their current positions, otherwise, party will continue to hold demonstrations across the country.
On Thursday afternoon, Imran Khan, PTI Senator Faisal Javed and six other PTI men sustained bullet injuries in the attack on the long-march container while one lost his life.

Soon after attack Imran Khan was shifted to Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore on Thursday evening. Khan sustained bullet injuries on his leg and after his surgery, the hospital staff shifted Imran Khan to a private room on Friday morning.
According to doctors and PTI leaders, Imran Khan is stable and he is out of danger at this time.
In red and white shirt is a PTI supporter Ibtemaas, who saved life of Imran Khan by foiling attack.

Meanwhile, Punjab police have shifted the main suspect Naveed to Lahore and handed him over to the CID for interrogation in attempt to murder PTI chairman Imran Khan on Thursday.
