The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources in Abu Dhabi has announced that Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2, 2025, will be official holidays for federal government entities in celebration of the UAE’s 54th Union Day.
With the inclusion of the weekend, federal employees will enjoy a four-day holiday, with regular working hours resuming on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The announcement applies to all ministries and federal entities.
The authority extended its congratulations to the UAE leadership, citizens, and residents, emphasizing the significance of Union Day as an occasion to honour the nation’s founders and reflect on the country’s achievements.
Across the Emirates, celebrations are expected to include a variety of cultural events, performances, and public activities, commemorating over five decades of unity, progress, and national pride.
Sharjah has unveiled an extensive schedule of cultural, artistic, and community events running from November 19 to December 2, 2025. Activities will be held across parks, heritage sites, and popular destinations, offering residents and visitors opportunities to engage with the country’s rich heritage while celebrating its modern identity and diverse community.
Events are designed to highlight the UAE’s history, achievements, and traditions, with participation encouraged from families, youth groups, and cultural organizations.
From November 27 to December 3, cities across the Emirates will host spectacular National Day fireworks, parades, concerts, and cultural programs, marking the UAE’s founding on December 2, 1971.
These festivities aim to bring together communities in celebration of Eid Al Etihad, showcasing the nation’s remarkable journey of progress and development. The combination of cultural exhibitions, performances, and vibrant public celebrations provides a platform for residents and visitors to appreciate the UAE’s heritage, achievements, and national identity while fostering a sense of unity and pride across the country.
