Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Pakistan’s rising squash stars for their remarkable performance at the Asian Junior Squash Championship, where the country bagged a total of seven medals.In a statement issued on Saturday, the prime minister praised the young athletes for bringing pride to the nation, highlighting their hard work, talent, and dedication. He specifically lauded Nauman Khan for securing gold in the Under-15 category, Sohail Adnan for winning gold in the Under-13 division, Ahmad Rayan Khalil for earning silver in Under-15, and Mahnoor Ali for claiming silver in the Girls’ Under-13 event.
“These young champions have won not just medals, but the hearts of the nation,” said PM Shehbaz. “The entire country stands proud of your achievement.”
He offered prayers for the continued success of the players and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to promoting sports and nurturing young talent at the grassroots level.
Sharif added that investment in youth and sports development remains a key priority, and victories like these are a testament to the potential of Pakistan’s new generation of athletes.
