Pakistan Champions are firmly in control of their run-chase against Australia Champions in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 clash. Chasing a modest target of 75 runs, Pakistan reached 55/0 in 7 overs without losing a wicket, looking well on course for a convincing victory.
The match began with Australia Champions winning the toss and opting to bat. However, their innings never found stability, as they were bowled out for a paltry 74 in just 11.5 overs. Ben Dunk was the lone standout with the bat, scoring a brisk 26 off 13 deliveries, including several aggressive strokes early on. Callum Ferguson was the only other batter to reach double digits, contributing 10 runs.
The collapse was largely orchestrated by Pakistan’s spin wizard Saeed Ajmal, who turned back the clock with a match-winning performance. Ajmal picked up 6 wickets for just 16 runs, dismantling Australia’s middle and lower order. Imad Wasim provided valuable support from the other end, finishing with figures of 2/11. Australia crumbled from 47/2 to 74 all out, losing their last eight wickets for just 27 runs.
In response, Pakistan openers Sharjeel Khan and Sohaib Maqsood made an assured start. They handled the new ball with confidence and punished anything loose. Daniel Christian’s over, the seventh of the innings, went for 10 runs as Maqsood and Sharjeel rotated the strike well and found the boundary with ease.
With just 20 runs required from the remaining 13 overs and all wickets intact, Pakistan Champions are cruising towards a comfortable win that reflects their complete dominance in this one-sided contest.
