ISLAMABAD: A woman gave birth to quadruplets at a private health care facility in Sargodha, Punjab.
The woman, the wife of a laborer named Irfan, gave birth to quadruplets after six years of marriage. While the mother’s health is stable, the newborn babies (two boys and two girls) were placed in intensive care.
According to doctors, two of the four newborns sadly passed away due to low weight, while the other two are fit and healthy.
Earlier, a woman gave birth to sextuplets (six babies) at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Hospital in Karachi.
According to the Director of JPMC, the woman delivered the sextuplets via normal delivery.
Unfortunately, one of the female babies did not survive, while the five surviving children include four boys and one girl. The surviving children have been transferred to the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) nursery due to breathing issues.
