Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a guard of honour on Thursday upon his arrival at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad. The visit marks his first official trip to Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed Sheikh Khaled upon his arrival in the federal capital. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, senior officials, and prominent business leaders, according to a statement from the Foreign Office.
The visit highlights the strong and longstanding ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reaffirming their mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in economic and investment sectors.
During his stay, the crown prince will hold extensive discussions with Pakistan’s leadership, focusing on areas of shared interest. Talks will include reinforcing historical bonds and expanding economic collaboration. Several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed, paving the way for new joint ventures and investment opportunities.
“These agreements aim to foster long-term cooperation across various sectors, benefiting both nations and their citizens,” the Foreign Office statement noted.
Pakistan and the UAE share a deep-rooted relationship built on trust, mutual respect, and shared aspirations. The visit reflects both countries’ dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation, promoting economic partnerships, and strengthening people-to-people ties.
Last month, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also visited Pakistan, where he received a warm reception in Rahim Yar Khan from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other key government officials.
