The Allama Iqbal Express, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, derailed near the Kotri railway station in Sindh due to a break in the coupling of its last bogie. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported from the incident.
Railway officials and police confirmed that the derailment caused a disruption on the down track, leading to a temporary suspension of train services at the Hyderabad railway station.
Efforts are currently underway to remove the derailed bogie and repair the tracks as quickly as possible, with the goal of resuming train services soon. Railway authorities have stated that a thorough investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the derailment, in an effort to prevent similar incidents in the future.
