Senator Faisal Vawda has made startling allegations regarding the events of May 9, 2023, and the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif, claiming that a thorough investigation into the latter case could have serious repercussions for several high-profile figures.
Speaking on Nadeem Malik Live, Vawda asserted that the May 9 incidents were premeditated and took place in the presence of PTI founder Imran Khan. He further alleged that former ISI chief Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed wielded significant power due to Imran Khan’s support as prime minister and would likely face a court-martial.
Arshad Sharif’s Case
Reiterating his longstanding stance, Vawda insisted that journalist Arshad Sharif was murdered rather than killed accidentally. “If this case is reopened, some extremely powerful individuals will be in deep trouble,” he warned. He also suggested that Sharif had strong ties with both the establishment and PTI, implying that his death resulted from these connections.
“If a nexus is uncovered, it will reveal a lot,” he emphasized.
Bushra Bibi’s Alleged Influence
Vawda also accused Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, of exerting significant influence over various matters during PTI’s tenure. He claimed that former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Farah Gogi were both “products of Bushra Bibi.”
According to him, several politicians, including federal ministers, displayed extreme deference to her. “Ministers would stand before her with folded hands, and even then Chief Minister Usman Buzdar would sit on the floor before her inside a plane,” Vawda alleged.
