The Peshawar High Court has approved transit bail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, effective until January 30. The court has also instructed him to appear before the relevant courts for subsequent legal proceedings.
Justice Kamran Hayat Mian Khel presided over the hearing of petitions filed by Asad Qaiser. His legal counsel informed the court that the former Speaker had sought transit bail in three cases, having already secured bail in 11 other cases. The counsel requested an extended period of transit bail, citing the extensive number of cases and the time required for legal proceedings.
The court accepted the plea and granted transit bail, emphasizing that Asad Qaiser must comply with the directives to appear before the respective courts as required.
