Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to depart for China on an official visit starting Monday.
He will be joined by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant departments for high-level discussions with Chinese leaders.
The talks will cover a broad spectrum of bilateral and regional matters, with particular emphasis on rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
This visit takes place amid growing regional instability, prompting Islamabad and Beijing to enhance diplomatic coordination on key security concerns. Among the central topics will be the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and recent cross-border incidents.
Sources also indicated that Afghan Foreign Minister Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi is expected to be in China during the same timeframe, raising the likelihood of trilateral discussions among Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan.
