Two mischievous goats caused quite a stir in Washington after wandering through the city and chasing pedestrians, prompting police intervention. The Kent Police Department shared the humorous incident on Instagram, explaining that the goats were spotted in the northern part of the city and “detained for baaaaaadddd behaviour.”
According to the department’s lighthearted post, the goats appeared to find amusement in pursuing people. “We’re not sure where they came from, but the two of them got it into their heads that chasing people would be a good time,” they remarked, adding, “Don’t goat us wrong, they are very cute. But no kidding around, it’s not OK for people or goats to chase others.”
The police continued their playful tone, revealing that during their “interrogation,” one of the goats humorously “admitted” to acting aggressively because he was “feeling a bit baaaaa-d today.”
Instead of facing consequences for their antics, the goats were handed over to the King County Animal Shelter. Officials at the shelter are now working to reunite them with their owner.
The incident highlights the unexpected trouble goats can cause in urban areas. In a similar case last year, a goat named Gary in Cumbria became so unruly on a farm that her owner, Anne Lomas, had to resort to mock rides to calm her down.
The Kent Police Department’s quirky handling of the situation has drawn attention online, with their post gaining popularity for its humorous take on the goats’ escapade.
