The federal government has announced a reduction in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs5 per kilogram, effective from June 1.
As per the latest notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the new price of LPG has been set at Rs241 per kilogram. In addition, the price of a standard domestic LPG cylinder has been lowered by Rs55, bringing the revised cost to Rs2,838—down from the previous Rs2,893 set earlier in May.
The commercial LPG cylinder has also seen a significant price drop. It has been reduced by Rs241, and the new price stands at Rs10,920.
These changes are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide relief to consumers amid rising living costs. The revised rates aim to ease the financial burden on both households and businesses that rely on LPG for cooking and heating.
