RAWALPINDI – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, revealed on Friday that India not only targeted Pakistani airbases but also launched a drone strike on Afghan territory, pushing the entire South Asian region toward heightened conflict.
Speaking during a special media briefing, the military spokesperson condemned New Delhi’s actions as “reckless and dangerous,” warning that such provocations could ignite a broader regional crisis. “India’s drone strike inside Afghanistan is a blatant violation of international norms and a grave threat to regional peace,” he stated.
Lt Gen Chaudhry emphasized that India’s aggressive behavior, including missile and drone attacks, was part of a wider agenda to destabilize South Asia. “These actions are not isolated incidents. They are part of a calculated strategy to escalate tensions and provoke conflict across borders.”
He called on the international community to take immediate notice of India’s hostile operations, saying, “It is now a global responsibility to rein in India’s warmongering. Its actions are pushing the region toward war.”
Afghan authorities have not yet officially commented on the reported drone strike. However, regional analysts warn that any cross-border attacks involving Afghanistan risk further complicating already delicate geopolitical relations in South Asia.
