The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed responsibility for killing Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s logistics unit, during airstrikes in Beirut.
According to the IDF, the operation was conducted on October 7, targeting a compound in the Beirut area.
In a post on X, the IDF stated, “The IDF killed Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s logistics unit. Under the precise direction of the Intelligence Division, Air Force fighter jets struck the Beirut area, leading to his death.”
Hezbollah has not yet issued a response to the claim.
This follows an earlier IDF announcement on October 3, which reported the killing of three senior Hamas leaders, including Rawhi Mushtaha, head of the Gaza government, during an airstrike on an underground compound in northern Gaza.
Commanders Sameh Siraj and Sameh Oudeh were also reportedly killed in that strike.
