4000 Children
The ongoing war in Gaza has taken a devastating toll, with at least 4000 children losing their lives, contributing to a total death count of 9,770 people, as reported by the Palestinian health ministry.
On a Sunday afternoon, an Israeli airstrike struck several houses near a school in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, resulting in the tragic deaths of at least 13 individuals, according to officials at Al-Aqsa Hospital.
This camp is home to approximately 46,000 people and had also been targeted last Thursday.

Verified footage depicted the heart-wrenching scene of people sifting through the rubble of homes in a desperate attempt to retrieve the victims.
Alarmingly, this marked the third refugee camp to be hit by Israeli airstrikes in the past 24 hours. More than 50 Palestinians lost their lives in attacks on Gaza’s al-Maghazi and Jabalia refugee camps.
Arafat Abu Mashaia, a resident of the al-Maghazi camp, described the Israeli airstrike as devastating, flattening several multi-story homes where people who had been displaced from other parts of Gaza had sought shelter.
He emphasized the innocence of the residents, stating, “It was a true massacre. All here are peaceful people. I challenge anyone who says there were resistance [fighters] here.”
The camp, being a densely populated residential area, is situated in the evacuation zone where Israel’s military had encouraged Palestinian civilians to seek refuge, as it intensifies its military offensive in the northern regions.
Saeed al-Nejma, aged 53, shared the harrowing experience of being asleep with his family when the blast shook their neighborhood.
Throughout the night, he and other men tirelessly worked to recover the deceased from the rubble.
He described the horrors they encountered, including the dismembered and torn-apart bodies of children, underscoring the profound human tragedy unfolding in Gaza.
