ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah today claimed that Khurram and Waqar, the hosts of Arshad Sharif, were hands in glove with Kenyan police over the murder of Arshad Sharif.
Rana Sanaullah said that Waqar and Khurram killed Arshad Sharif with the support of Kenyan police and they tried to paint another picture.
He said, “Both the brothers are not even providing access to their mobile phone’s data.”
Interior Minister made this startling disclosure while speaking in a TV programme “Geo Pakistan“.
Rana Sanaullah has declared the murder of Arshad Sharif a targeted killing.
Minister said that Sharif went to Kenya from Dubai on Waqar’s sponsorship and he was staying in his flat.
“Brutal murder of Arshad Sharif was a joint conspiracy of Waqar, Khurram and five Kenyan police officers,” said Sanaullah.
Rana also stated that some marks of torture had been observed on the body of slain TV anchor. Minister said that the shooters knew to whom they were killing.
“We have the evidence against those who forced Sharif to leave the country. Some people called him and told him to leave while some say that Sharif left due to the situation in the country. However, Arshad Sharif did not want to leave the country,” he added.
Rana further stated that that a threat alert was issued by the KP government to scare the slain journalist and Arshad Sharif was influenced to leave Pakistan from Peshawar Airport.
Importantly, the person who helped Arshad Sharif to get an online visa was Waqar, who did not know the TV anchor before.
