The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a special Ramazan relief package aimed at supporting financially struggling families during the holy month. According to official sources, each selected family will receive Rs10,000 to help manage expenses during Ramazan.
As part of the initiative, the government will identify 5,000 eligible families in each of the province’s 115 constituencies. The selected beneficiaries will be provided with financial assistance in the form of Rs10,000 cheques, which will be distributed within the first 10 days of Ramazan.
To ensure a transparent and equitable selection process, various government departments have been assigned oversight responsibilities. This step is intended to prevent irregularities and ensure that aid reaches the most deserving households.
A total budget of Rs8 billion has been earmarked for the package. Authorities emphasize that the entire distribution process will be closely monitored from the Chief Minister’s House to maintain fairness and efficiency.
The initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to providing relief during Ramazan, a time when financial burdens often increase for low-income families. The scheme is expected to benefit thousands of households across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, easing the pressure of rising food and utility costs during the fasting month.
The financial assistance program aligns with broader welfare efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. Officials stress that the funds will be disbursed in a structured manner to avoid delays and ensure that those in need receive timely relief.
Local authorities have urged citizens to stay informed about eligibility criteria and distribution details through official channels. The government is also considering additional relief measures to further support affected communities throughout Ramazan.
This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to address economic challenges and provide direct support to those struggling with inflation and daily expenses.
