Two key witnesses have identified the prime suspects, Armaghan and Shiraz, in the Mustafa Amir murder case during a hearing before the Judicial Magistrate (South).
Witnesses Ghulam Mustafa and Zohaib testified in court, confirming that both accused were present at the crime scene. Ghulam Mustafa further noted that on the day of the incident, Shiraz was wearing glasses. Despite being identified, the suspects reportedly remained unfazed and were seen laughing during the proceedings.
Defense lawyers challenged the witness testimonies, arguing that the identification process had been influenced by the prosecution. However, the court proceeded with recording the statements as part of the ongoing trial.
Threats to Witnesses
During the hearing, police informed the court that Armaghan’s father had allegedly threatened witness Ghulam Mustafa. Taking strict notice, the judicial magistrate ordered immediate legal action against him and directed that he be placed in handcuffs.
Eyewitness Account of Crime Scene
Providing further details, Ghulam Mustafa, who worked at the bungalow where the incident occurred, stated that on January 1, he arrived at the house around 3 PM and found it in disarray, with approximately 30 to 40 people present. He also mentioned that the house’s gate was operated remotely.
Victim’s Mother Seeks Justice
Wajiha Amir, the mother of Mustafa Amir, has dismissed claims that her son was friends with Armaghan or had any intention of meeting him. She alleged that Mustafa was lured into meeting Armaghan on January 6, though the exact circumstances remain unclear.
Contrary to media reports, she stated that Mustafa did not attend any New Year’s Eve party with Armaghan. She revealed that Armaghan had repeatedly called Mustafa on January 5, but her son ignored the calls.
Allegations of Police Negligence
Expressing frustration over the handling of the case, Wajiha Amir claimed that authorities failed to act promptly. She asserted that had the police taken her concerns seriously, the case could have been solved by January 14. She also revealed that Mustafa’s mobile phone was found at Armaghan’s residence, a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation.
