North Korea has sharply criticized the recent U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, calling the action a clear breach of the United Nations Charter and a violation of international law.
In an official statement released by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the attack was described as a serious assault on Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“The DPRK strongly condemns the U.S. military strike on Iran, viewing it as a blatant violation of the UN Charter, which upholds the principles of sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of states,” the statement declared.
The North Korean official warned that using military force to compromise the territorial and political independence of sovereign nations undermines global peace and stability. The DPRK held the United States and Israel responsible for escalating tensions in the Middle East, accusing both countries of pursuing aggression under the guise of maintaining peace and eliminating threats.
The statement urged the international community to stand together in opposing what it described as hostile and destabilizing policies by Washington and Tel Aviv, stressing the importance of upholding global security and multilateral respect for state sovereignty.
