The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, commending the role of intermediary nations in facilitating the move.
In an official statement, the 57-member Islamic bloc urged the international community to support both countries in initiating constructive dialogue to address longstanding disputes.
The OIC emphasized the importance of a peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir issue, in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions, to prevent further tension between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
Expressing concern over ongoing military tensions in South Asia, the OIC called for restraint from all parties and warned against actions that could destabilize the region.
