ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Belarus have reached a significant agreement to register Belarusian veterinary medicines in Pakistan, marking a new milestone in healthcare collaboration between the two countries. The decision was made during the eighth joint ministerial commission meeting.
Additionally, officials from both nations are finalizing a memorandum of understanding on labor migration, which is expected to be signed soon. The commission meeting focused on strengthening partnerships in various sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, and technology.
According to the Economic Affairs spokesperson, commercial banks from both countries will facilitate business transactions, supporting traders and enterprises. Both sides have also pledged to deepen cooperation in science and technology.
In the healthcare sector, joint training programs will be launched, while agricultural collaboration will be expanded, reinforcing existing partnerships in the farming industry.
During the visit, the Pakistani delegation met with Belarus’s Minister for Energy, Minister for Agriculture, and Deputy Foreign Minister. The spokesperson further announced plans to resume cooperation between Pakistan Television (PTV) and Belarus’s state television network.
