Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah announced that Pakistan has initiated discussions with Iran to establish a tourism route, aiming to facilitate cross-border travel and strengthen bilateral ties.
Speaking at the Pakistan Travel Mart at Expo Center Karachi, Shah underscored Pakistan’s strategic objective of securing land connectivity to Turkey and Europe through Iran.

Shah further revealed that Pakistan has signed a cultural agreement with Iran at the Chief Minister’s House, marking a step toward regional collaboration. “Pakistan is entering a new phase of development and offers some of the finest tourism experiences in the region,” he added.
Highlighting efforts in heritage preservation, Shah stressed the importance of safeguarding Karachi’s historic architecture, describing it as the “essence of the city.” A dedicated committee has been formed to oversee the restoration and protection of these historical landmarks.
