Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday appointed Akhtar Wali Khan as his coordinator for information on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa affairs.
An official notification confirming the appointment was issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, stating that the position is honorary.
Reports indicate that Akhtar Wali Khan met with PM Shehbaz a day earlier, where they held an in-depth discussion on the prevailing political situation and national matters.
In a separate development, senior politician Zahid Khan has been appointed as the additional secretary of information for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
According to available details, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif approved his appointment, assigning him an important role within the party.
Zahid Khan, a former senator, will now serve as PML-N’s additional secretary of information. His appointment was formally announced through a notification issued by PML-N General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal.
