Pakistan’s security forces have captured a principal suspect in the Noshki bombing during a targeted counterterrorism raid near the Pakistan–Afghanistan border in Balochistan, security sources revealed on Tuesday.
The individual, identified as Farid Baloch, was taken into custody in a carefully planned operation. During questioning, he admitted to collaborating with foreign operatives and disclosed ties to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade.
According to his confession, the Noshki attack was orchestrated by the BLA with backing from India’s intelligence agency and elements of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He alleged that a RAW handler met him in Afghanistan to outline the plot, provided funding and operational directives, and maintained communications via Snapchat. Farid Baloch said his role was to relay instructions from these agents to the local BLA leadership.
The Noshki incident involved a coordinated strike on a convoy of eight buses en route to Taftan, resulting in the deaths of five security personnel and injuries to thirty others.
Earlier on Tuesday, authorities recovered seven unidentified bodies in the Chutair Tangi area of Ziarat district. Local residents notified officials after discovering the remains near Konchi Dam. Rescue teams and Levies personnel transported the bodies to a nearby hospital, and police have launched an inquiry to establish the victims’ identities, motives, and responsible parties. In response, residents blocked the Ziarat–Chutair road, demanding a rapid and thorough investigation.
